Educational Management Administration Skills as Perceived Among Buddhist Abbots in Phichit Province Temples.

Abstract

 This research had the following objectives : 1) to study the Educational Management Administration skills as Perceived among Buddhist Abbots in Phichit Province Temples 2) to compare the opinions towards the Educational Management Administration. Skills as Perceived among Buddhist Abbots in Phichit Province Temples by classifying on personal factors and 3) to study the problems, barriers and recommendations in Educational Management Administration skills as Perceived among Buddhist Abbots in Phichit Province Temples.

The sample of the study consisted of 224 abbots in Phichit Province Temples which had been selected by Random sampling Method. Research tool used questionnaire. The data were analyzed with statistical approach to find frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The test of hypotheses were applied t-test, F-test and Least significant difference : LSD.

The study was summarized the problems and suggestions by analyzing and synthesizing data.

The findings showed that the extent of the abbots to Educational Management Administration Skills as Perceived among Buddhist Abbots in Phichit Province Temples. Most respondences were aged 31 – 33 years old. It was equivalent to 79 bodies or 36.92%. According to Vassa (the Buddhist lent), there were 116 bodies which had 11 – 20 the rains. It was equivalent to 54.21%. The Dhamma scholar were 213 bodies that were equivalent to 99.53%. The abbots who did not have parinnu Dhamma were 163 bodies. It was equivalent to 67.17%. Referring to general education the abbots were graduated in bachelor’s degree about 103 bodies. It eas equivalent to 48.73% the abbots applied the Educational Management Administration Skills as a whole in high average mean scones ( = 4.03). 

When considering to the other dimensions, it was found that the descending order of the Educational Management Administration Skills were as follows : 1) Thinking Skills ( = 4.08), Conceptual Skills ( = 4.07), Teaching Skills ( = 4.07), Interpersonal Skills ( = 4.04), and Technical Skills ( = 3.91) which was the least.

The test of hypotheses were found that there were not significant difference at .01 level by age, Vassa, Dhamma Tipitaka and Parinnu Dhamma. The only hypothesis which was significant difference at .01 level was general education level.

The suggestions of this study were as follows : 1) The related officials should encourage the abbots in Educational Management Administration Skills. 2) According to Educational management Administration Skills ; the abbots should give priority to strengthening ethics at all levels to set a good example in Thailand. 3) Referring to the Educational Management Administration Skills the abbots should have to serve justice and non-discrimination against the subordinates. 4) The researcher should increased more research tools such as observation form and focus group data in order to improve the data acquisition of Educational Management Administration Skills.
