Abstract

 The objectives of this research were; 1) to study the  administrative effectiveness of the Kanjanaburi Office of Buddhism, 2) to compare the administrative monks’ opinions towards the administrative effectiveness of Knajanaburi Office of Buddhism classified by personal factors and 3) to study problems, obstacles and recommendations for the administrative effectiveness of Kanjanaburi Office of Buddhism

              The methodology was the mixed method between quantitative and qualitative research. The quantitative research collected data from 231 samples derived from 544 populations. The qualitative research collected data from 8 key informants The-depth-interview and analyzed data by descriptive interpretation.

              Findings were as follows:

1)    The administrative monks’ opinions about the administrative effectiveness of Kanjanaburi Office of Buddhism by overall were at high level with. Considering by each aspect was that the most effective aspect was the service facilities with , secondly the personnel’s performance at and the last level was the planning at the average  which was still at high level.

2)    The comparison of the administrative effectiveness of the Kanjanaburi Office of Buddhism by the respondents’ opinions were that the administrative monks with different age, formal education, Dhamma and Pali educational level did not have different opinions at the statistical significance at 0.05, denying the set hypothesis. The administrative monks with different ordained year and working experiences had different opinions about the administrative effectiveness of Knjanaburi Office of Buddhism,at the statistical significance at 0.05, accepting the set hypothesis

 

3)    Recommendations for the administrative effectiveness of Kanjanburi Office of Buddhism were that (1) planning; the Kanjanburi Office of Buddhism responded to the requests promptly. There should be more personnel working with administrative monks closely, there should be more year plan and information for the monks, (2) the service process; the Kanjanaburi Office of Buddhism should have the prompt service process, more conveniently. Public relations should be prompt and continuous and allowing enough time for monks to prepare the activities. Officers of the Office of Buddhism should do more field works visiting locations to assist monks to do their work effectively according their responsibility, (3) Personnel performance; the Office of Buddhism should let the personnel to perform their duties equally, there should be additional training and seminar to upgrade the personnel to the high proficiency in performing their duties and  (4) Service facility; The Kanjanaburi Office of Buddhism should be renovated and expanded for more space and more effective in duty performance. The should be chairs or seats for monks who came to contact the Office and attendants at the parking lot  to keep the parking in order.
