The Role of Buddhist Monks for Quality of Live Development at Bangngam Sub-District, Siprachan District, Suphanburi Province

Abstract

ABSTRACT

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the opinions of the people towards Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Life Quality Development of People in Bangngam Sub-District, Siphrachan District, Suphanburi Province, 2) to study the comparison of the  opinions of the people towards Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Life Quality Development of People in Bangngam Sub-District, Siphrachan District, Suphanburi Province classified by personal factors, 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions about the Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Life Quality Development of People in Bangngam Sub-District, Siphrachan District, Suphanburi Province. The research methodology was the mixed method between the quantitative and qualitative methods. The sampling group of this research was 357 People in Bangngam Sub-District, Siphrachan District, Suphanburi Province.  The tool used for data collection was in depth interview and data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation; SD, t-test and F-test by one way analysis of variance; ANOVA, and test the differences of the average pairing with the Least Significant Difference: LSD and the data analysis was In-Depth Interview and using content analysis technique.

The findings of this research were as following :

1.  The people have the opinions towards The Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Life Quality Development of People in Bangngam Sub-District, Siphrachan District, Suphanburi Province. It found that it was a high level for overall ( =3.74). When considered in each side found that knowledge of life quality development      ( =3.83), good example to life quality development ( =3.80), and supporting of life quality development ( =3.60).  

2.  The comparisons of the opinions to The Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Life Quality Development of People in Bangngam Sub-District, Siphrachan District , Suphanburi Province, classified by personal data in overall found that that the people  who had the different gender, age, and career. They had the different views to the Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Life Quality Development of People in Bangngam Sub-District, Siphrachan District, Suphanburi Province indifferently but the pole who had the different income and education who had the opinions to The Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Life Quality Development of People in Bangngam Sub-District, Siphrachan District, Suphanburi Province differentlyby statistically significant at the 0.05 level.

3. The Problems, Obstacles and Suggestions about the Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Life Quality Development of People in Bangngarm Sub-district, Sriphrachan District, Suphanburi Province, found that 1) on the knowledge : there are lack of monks who able to teach the morality for people, so the Sangha should train them. 2) on the best example : there are some of the monks who not follow the rule that the peoples are not happy on them, so they should follow the rule to be the best example and 3) on the supporting : they are not much in supporting, so the Sangha and government agency should support in life quality development of people.

4.  The Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Life Quality Development of People in Bangngam Sub-District, Siphrachan District, Suphanburi Province could be summarized that monks should be good practicing in physics , speech and mind for good faith of people. Moreover, Sangha organization should support the monks to do the activity for application of life quality development.
