Abstract

Abstract

This research which is a quantitative and qualitative one has three objectives, such as 1)to study a readiness of retirement according to principles of four developments to administrators, teachers and officials in central Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, 2)to study a comparison and readiness of retirement according to principles of four developments to the personnel in central Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, 3)to study a criteria of qualitative retirement to the personnel in central Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. Equipments used for collecting data are questionnaires and in-depth interview designed by the researcher and checked by the specialist, and a collecting of quantitative data from 157 administrators, teachers and officials. Also the qualitative data is collected from those ones in central Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. The quantitative data depends on statistics for analyzing data comprised of frequency distribution, percentage, independent sample t-test,F-test(One-way ANOVA)and a comparison of difference in each couple by the way of LSD

The result of research is found that readiness before retirement according to principles of four developments to the personnel in central Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University totally has the mean at a much level. Having considered each side, one finds that the personnel in central Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. A distribution of sex, a status of personnel in the University, a level of the highest education and the position of administration with readiness before retirement according to principles of four developments is not found in difference. When a distribution of age, marital status, a period of work and monthly incomes with a readiness before retirement in a physical, mental, social wisdom condition has the importance of statistics 0.01 and 0.05 in order.To the society of working age in the Sangha’s University, a qualitative retirement is in a wishful purpose in believing that everyone who has a development of their quality of life in various aspects before retirement way make them happy as Buddhist people. If one can use principles of four developments in Buddhism for improving the quality of life before one’s retirement, it is regarded as a good, speedy readiness purposeful since there are various connections of life’s dimension, so important factors of good quality of life in an age of retirement are to a process of good and right life in the present. That is way the researcher can summarize a qualitative retirement in the important criteria as follows

1.To have principles of Buddhist teachings as a refuge of mind, that is principles of four paths of accomplishment(Iddhipada) in a process of valuable life. Faith (saddha) is a drive power in behaving oneself into a good Buddhist while four divinestates(Brahmavihāra)encourage one to have the kindness and support to the distant and close people boundlessly, and the noble truth(Ariyasacca)is a wisdom helping one for enlightenment.

2.To adjust oneself according to a state of change, one should do every day the best, and consider very carefully occurrence and disappearance in the round of existence (Vatta).

3.To practice oneself according to the principles of doctrine and discipline(Dhammavinaya), and to develop one’s bodily patentingrighteously and completely according to the way of nature so that one can spend one’s physical energy for long through which one should select good food useful and avoid strongly taste food and sufficiently stay together with regular exercise.

4. To have a present mindfulness in the way of noble path, practicing meditation for a readiness of mind, in funding to develop mind. Having done so, one’s mind obtains happiness and peace and everything is going to proceed in a creative way.

5. To make a contribution to the society in various voluntary activities

6. To proceed one’s life in wisdom, to live in knowing what’s what, understanding the whole things, seeing through the real truth

Occurring, leaning what useful and useless. All these can be possible if one tries to upgrade one’s mindfulness and wisdom.
