Abstract

Abstract

             The purposes of the research entitled “A temple Administration in Accordance with the Principles of the Six States of Conciliation of the Ecclesiastical Officials in Ban Phue District, Undonthani Province” were; (1) to study the temple Administration in accordance with the Six States of Conciliation of the Ecclesiastical Officials and the principles of Six States of Conciliation (2) to study the problems of temple administration in according to the principles of the Six States of Conciliation of the Ecclesiastical Officials in Ban Phue District, Undonthnai Province and (3) to offer the guidelines of temple Administration in accordance with the principles of the Six States of Conciliation of the Ecclesiastical Officials in Ban Phue District, Udonthani Province.

             The research methods were performed by using the purposive sampling, that is, the in-depth interview, the key informants consisted of the Ecclesiastical District Officer, the Deputy Ecclesiastical  District Officer, the Ecclesiastical Commune-Chief, the abbots, the deputy abbots and the Buddhist monks in the territory of Ban Phue District, Undonthani in order to receive the empirical data in accordance with the research methodology of qualitative research.

              The results of the concepts and theory of research related to Wat Administration in accordance with the principles of the Six States of Conciliation of the Ecclesiastical Officials were found that Wat Administration in accordance with the principles of Six States of Conciliation of the Ecclesiastical Officials as a whole was rather in the good level, that is, amiability, amiability in words, amiability in thought, to share any lawful gains with virtuous fellows, to keep without blemish the rules of conduct along with one’s fellows and to be endowed with right views along with one’s fellows. So the Sangha’s administration must perform functions in compliance with the doctrine and the discipline, laws, regulations of the Sangha Supreme Council, Charter, order, command, opinions and promulgation of the Sangha Supreme council strictly and speaking with individuals under control with polite, gentle, reasonable words and advising the individuals under control without prejudice, The responsibility for various well-beings of Buddhist monks and novices together with co-residents and for various fringe benefits for individuals under control should be done and to extend the sympathy, benevolent for each other, to pay respect for the right and liberty of Buddhist monks and novices, to practice themselves as good sample with justice, not to threaten the individuals under control, to be unity of solution with each other in various issues for the unity of Sangha should be created.

             The state of problems in the temple administration in, accordance with the principles of the Six States of Conciliation of the Ecclesiastical Officials consists of problems and obstacles, that is, the Ecclesiastical Officials do not perform their duties in compliance with the doctrine and discipline, law and regulation strictly, using the words without reasonability, lack of politeness, advising individuals with prejudice, not to pay attention to the well-beings of Buddhist monks and novices including the co-residents, to search for the own benefits, lack of the fringe benefits in various aspects, not to practice in the right way, to be infatuated to the power, lack of solution with each other and conflict in the organization.

              The way to manage the temple administration in accordance with the principles of the Six States of conciliation of the Ecclesiastical Officers should be performed in accordance with the regulations with equality without prejudice, and to solve the problems with Dhamma, The good leader and follower should use polite, gentle and reasonable words, should perform their functions with honesty and justice, not to use their duties in order to search for their own benefits, should have good fringe benefits, not to be selfish, to support individuals under their control with their ability without prejudice, to pay respect to the right and liberty of co-residents, to practice themselves in the right way, not to be infatuated in power and to make unity in the organization.
