A Buddhist Psychological Causal Model in Building the Unity for the Successful Teamwork

Abstract

Abstract

The 3 objectives of this research were 1) to study about the concept of Buddhist Psychology in building the unity for the successful teamwork, 2) to develop the Buddhist Psychological causal model in building the unity for the successful teamwork and 3) to validate and propose the Buddhist Psychological causal model in building the unity for the successful teamwork. Mixed Methods Research using quantitative research to extend qualitative results was used for research design. The key informants were the specialists in Buddhism, Psychology, Businessman and Buddhist Administrative Management, total 13 experts, selected by purposive sampling method with the sampling group of 422 samples. The Research instrument were interview schedule and the questionnaires. Qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis and analytic induction. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and correlation, and to validate model with the empirical data using LISREL program. Research results were shown as follows:

1.The Buddhist Psychological Idea to build the unity for the successful teamwork consisted of 1) Ability to love people, 2) Be polite to each other,                      3) Commitment to the same direction, 4) Dig to the worth and attitude of your work, 5) Express the respect, 6) Find out the right people, 7) Gather to be family,  8) Have them as a part of business, 9) Incentive in motivation. The important factors that also effect to have the teamwork success were 1) Need to have good leader, 2) Occupy the right candidate, 3) Prepare the good discipline, and 4) Quick sense to be true friend, teamwork success developing from Four  which were 1) Jolly along with work done,  2) Kill the problem in work, 3) Lead to success, and  4) Make your job better.

2. The Buddhist Psychological Causal Model in building the unity for the successful teamwork consisted of 1 Exogenous Variable which was the unity and 2 Endogenous Variables which were 1) Other factors that caused to have teamwork success and 2) The successful teamwork. Other factors that caused to have teamwork success was a mediator in the model.

3. The Buddhist Psychological Causal Model in building the unity for the successful teamwork was fit with the empirical data, Chi-Square was 76.49, the degree of Freedom (df) was 65, the Probability value (P-value) was 0.156.  The Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) was 0.98, the Adjusted Goodness of Fit Index was 0.96 and the Root Mean Square Residual (RMR)was 0.0089, and the Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) was 0.018 accounting for the variations successful teamwork at 91.00 percent. To consider the direct and indirect Effects to the successful teamwork, it was found that the teamwork got the direct Effect from the other factors that supported to have teamwork success with the value of 0.45 and 0.52, and were significant at the .01 level. The teamwork success also got the indirect effect form the unity with the value of 0.47 and was significant at the .01 level.
