Abstract

This thesis aims to study of health of Buddhist Sangha according to Buddhism, to study of health of Buddhist Sangha in Ngiawlai, Tapanhin District, Phichit Province, and to apply the healthy treatment according to Buddhist method of Buddhist Sangha in Ngiawlai, Tapanhin District, Phichit Province. The research method mix-research ; -the documental study of Buddhism and  of quality by In-depth Interview from Buddhist monks who are sick and become a good health amount of 10 monks.

             The result of research is found that the concept of Buddhist health comes from the  physical management in daily routine activities. In which, basically, they are walking for arms food, cleaning in temple, chanting, taking care environment.  The management of mental health follows things favorable to mental development (Sappãya 7). They reduce and delete lust, angry, delusion. They always think ‘know to enough’ to have lovingkindness, mindfulness, to have tolerance, to burn down, to be fanciful idea and to be truth. That is vow ‘any thing will be done in righteousness’. To care health by medicine which is allowed by Buddhist discipline i.e 5 kinds of medicines, namely;- gel cheese, hard cheese, oil, honey, molasses. To service of herbal, i.e. a root of tree, acid taste, tree leave, fruit and gum tree. To have food and medicine is right.

            The health of Buddhist Sangha in Ngiawlai, Tapanhin District, Phichit Province is found that the most of them are old monks who are chronic disease, e.g., Diabetes, Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia, Arthralgia and Arthritis. In three of four diseases, they still smoke, take group drug, tonic, powerful drinking, including often coffee in each day. The Buddhist monks do clearly not guard diseases. Some thing is prefixed by discipline obstacle from discipline. Personally, the Buddhist monk do not introduce from concerning unit of working. In the present, the monk follows social media. The most monks who are sick to removed it by chronic and moving of body. This is not yet restored by correction. So, the monk is personal performance.  The monk cares health of each other so less. It is mere conversation about only happy and sorry. The most monk has no mental health. But often problem is common sick and goes to medicine doctor. The monk walks for  arms food and to get money for paying about this. The promotion of mental health is used by chanting, meditation, walking. For food, the most monk has meal powder, coconut, sugar, adipose tissue and hard test of food is more in a daily like. But drinking water, using water, the Buddhist monk services from producing water from a factory. But using water is serviced from water supply and  nether world.

               The application of healthy treatment according to Buddhist monks in Buddhism takes service a holistic heath i.e. physical health, mental health, intellectual health and social health. The physical health is took by the precept (sīla), by studying Dhamma from media, by guarding drug, to canceling powerful drinking including tobacco. The mental health is took by plus thinking, by lovingkindness, by truth to cancel the drug. The intelligence health is took by Dhamma training, by reading Dhamma book, by moral camping for children and young. The social health is took by sacrifice, by common service for dangerous accident, by by visiting a sick man in an old home,  in hospital. To help all people who get incorrect thinking, bad or good thinking. The Buddhist monk help people to heal the balance of environment for  taking the middle path in daily life. They will be not delusion to attachment in body, except to care morality, to care the way of life by mindfulness, to care the way of life in model to guideline of good friend as Dhamma society.
