ABSTRACT

          The objectives of this research “Participation of Buddhist Monks toward Buddhist Activities in Banglen District, Nakornpathom Province” are : (1) to study Participation of Buddhist Monks toward Buddhist Activities in Banglen District, Nakornpathom Province ; (2) to compare Participation of Buddhist Monks toward Buddhist Activities in Banglen District, Nakornpathom Province ; and (3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions relating to Participation of Buddhist monks toward Buddhist activities in Banglen District, Nakornpathom Province.

This study is qualitative research, the data from  the sample of the monk in the are of Banglen District, Nakhonpathom, 240 in number. Research instruments were questionnaires, analyzed the data with frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D), hypothesis tested with t-test for two-valued variables and F-test or One-Way ANOVA for more than 3 valued variables. In case of differentiation was found, it was compared by LSD.

The results of the research are as follow ;

          1. The overall opinions of monk in the Buddhist activities, Nakhonpathom are found at the high level ( = 3.93). In other aspects of administration, eccbisiastical education, educational welfares, Buddhist propagation, Buddhist – buildings and constructions, and public weltaise are also found at the high level.

         2. With regard to the results of comparison of participation of Buddhist monks toward Buddhist activities in Banglen District, Nakornpathom Province was hypothesis tested by analyzing different variables, it is found that monk of rank were varied in their opinions with statistical difference at .05 level of significance, conforming to each aspect is other was not found different as contrast to the hypothesis expected.

          3. Recommendations and suggestions toward the monks role in the Buddhist activities are that : the monks should tales part in be was welfares of the people such as buildings and constructions of roads, bridges, electric procure building taking part or parietaling to sanction puncher of taxmen’s products such etc. At the same time, the monks should survey the of the local people and organize the activities on venous occasions together the people in cooperation with the Temples and to easy but the activities as such to the full extent for the use and happiness of the public in general.
